Jullian's Story
![Jullian]()
When Rosalie Adoncello placed her Daffodil Day box on the counter at her hairdressing salon each year, she never imagined it would be her own young son who would need cancer treatment.
Diagnosed with neuroblastoma at only two and a half years old, little Jullian Adoncello had barely begun pre-school when he faced a challenge most adults would find hard to bear.
Undergoing a gruelling and lengthy course of treatment for this aggressive cancer, the brave little man endured it all without complaint. “He was such a tower of strength” said his mother Rosalie “he actually kept me grounded with his ‘it’s okay Mummy, don’t cry Mummy, give me a hug Mummy’”.
Thankfully, just over a year later, Jullian has received his first clear scan, but it will be two years before the family knows if he is in remission. “I still feel scared every day… but you go on. You go on because you see him recover and you’ve got to get him to the next stage” said Rosalie.
With one in two Australians facing a cancer diagnosis by the age of 85, we all need to join the fight to beat cancer. Getting involved with Daffodil Day is one way you can help.
