Fundraise your way!
If you’re looking for that extra bit of Flower Power inspiration then these ideas might do the trick:
Give it up
Whether it’s sugar, fast food, alcohol, or another vice… give it up for the month of August and ask people to sponsor you. You’ll be helping people impacted by cancer AND you’ll hit some health goals while you’re at it!
Set yourself a fitness challenge for your Yellow Fundraiser. Hit the pavement and run that 10km you’ve always wanted to do, or get your bike and ride to raise funds for cancer research.
Host an Event
Whether you’d prefer in person or online, the community’s planning quizzes, morning teas, baking competitions, karaoke nights, garage sales, even yellow-themed dinner parties - the power to decide is yours!
Wherever you like (it could be at home, work, or in a public space), hold a dress-yellow competition with a donation to enter, and give a prize to the best dressed.
Raffle or Auction
A fundraising classic. You could always hold a raffle or silent auction where all proceeds go towards research towards a cancer free future.
Games & Competitions
It could be a guessing game, a talent show, or fancy dress competition, anything that puts a smile on people’s faces. These can be played if you’re hosting a virtual fundraiser too!
Gifts that give back
Raise money by writing poems, songs, paintings, crafts, drawings… anything that means you can use your amazing (and possibly hidden) talents!
Please follow all government restrictions and advice to keep yourself and your community safe as you fundraise.
