This year, I am deeply moved to fundraise for Daffodil Day in celebration of my family's extraordinary journey through cancer — a story of both profound loss and incredible resilience.
I honour my beloved Tio Bambie Dela Cruz, who bravely battled lung cancer and whose memory continues to light our hearts. And I celebrate the remarkable strength of Tia Elma de Vera, who has thrived for over 15 years after her diagnosis with breast cancer. Her unwavering courage and grace have been a beacon of hope for our entire family.
I’ve chosen to launch this fundraiser on my birthday, August 23, not to receive gifts, but to give — to give hope, to give light, and to give support to those still fighting. This is my way of turning a personal milestone into a meaningful movement for change.
