I’m fundraising for Daffodil Day, to support advancements in life-saving cancer research.
Lung cancer was the last thing I expected for my non smoking 48 year old mum. It was an emotional 10 months before her lobectomy and will be a long 5 years to see if she remains cancer free but we are so grateful that research has shown this was her best course of action. She has been the most positive person throughout this whole process and I've never hosted anything like this before but when she asked me to get her the Daffodil day pin and I read the letter that accompanied it which spoke of hope I knew how important it is to have this. Throughout the whole process the doctors that assured us of the good survival rates and different options really eased our nerves and gave us hope that everything would be okay in the end. With how common it is nowadays I'm sure we are all affected by that horrible C word in some way in our lives. The funds I raise will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.
Your support means so much to me and to my mum who lost her dad to cancer too.
With your help, we're getting closer to a cancer free future
