VIRTUAL RELAY FOR LIFE & THE RACE TO $50k
After the resounding success of the last two years, it’s time again for the VIRTUAL RELAY FOR LIFE. By raising over $18,000 in 2020 and 2021, we’ve pushed my career fundraising total to $42,257.92. So, for this year’s Relay, it’s also the Race to $50k! Please join me in moving the virtual baton on Saturday August 27th 2022!
The idea is to have the virtual baton passed so that at least one person in our team is exercising (walking, running, cycling, etc.) from 5am to 8pm. Relay For Life usually goes overnight but the Victorian curfews in 2020 limited us to these hours and, after the great success of past events, why change it? The hope is that we will have at least two people exercising at any given time so that they can exercise together: in person if restrictions allow it or with the magic of the internet/telephone.
How you can help:
1. Join my team. Ideally, I’d like to request you
sign up for at least 1 hour (if possible) meaning we’ll need at least 15
people. I’ve committed to matching my efforts from the last two years (5 hours
walking/cycling) and would love some company!

If you would like to share your connection with cancer and why you are joining the relay, I would love to hear your story. I will be walking and cycling to honour the lives of my dad and two grandfathers.
2. Gather donations. Whether or not you join my team, you can donate! The best way to raise funds though is to join the team and then get as many sponsors as you can. Share with friends, family, colleagues, etc. and raise as much as possible!
3. Share! Share! Share! Regardless of if you join my team or donate yourself, you can still help the cause my sharing my event details and donation link with friends, family, and colleagues!
