We are the largest independent funder of cancer research in Australia. Over the past 5 years Cancer Council and its research partners have invested more than $285m in world-class cancer research.
What we do:
We offer a range of services to support anyone affected by cancer. Last year we helped thousands of Australians get the support they need answering over 47,000 calls through our 13 11 20 information and support line.
We fund more cancer research than any other non-government organisation in Australia. In 2017, thanks to the support of our community, we directed over $60 million in cancer research across Australia.
We know that preventing cancer is one of the most effective ways of creating a cancer free future. We develop programs that encourage and empower people to lead healthier lifestyles to help reduce their cancer risk.
We work with the community to change laws and policies to reduce cancer risks and improve cancer care.
Visit your local Cancer Council website for more information on services offered in your area. You can also find information on cancer types including leukaemia, breast, bowel, ovarian cancer and more there.
