Last year, I took part in the Daffodil Day Challenge, plunging into cold water every day throughout August in support of the 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.
On the 1st of June this year, I signed up once again, ready to take on the challenge in August. Just three days later, our family was faced with the most unimaginable news. Our dad, Craig, was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Since his diagnosis, our family has stood together and fought alongside our favourite human. True to who he is, Dad has faced every challenge with incredible strength and determination. We are so grateful that the first stage of his treatment is now complete, and he is continuing to recover from surgery surrounded by the love and support of his family.
We know there is still a long road ahead, but one thing we know for certain is that Dad is a fighter, and we will be beside him every step of the way.
This August, our family is taking on the Daffodil Day Challenge together. As a team, we will be plunging into cold water every day throughout August to raise money for cancer research and support the countless families facing a cancer diagnosis.
This is our team. ๐
If you're brave for Craig, we'd love for you to join our team and get chilly for Craig this August. Whether you take the plunge yourself, make a donation, or cheer us on from the sidelines, every bit of support makes a difference.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 throughout August in support of cancer research. Together, we can help fund life-saving research and bring hope to families facing a cancer diagnosis.
Follow along to see our progress, receive updates, and support our team as we take the plunge for our favourite human.
