Daffodil Day Dip

Join the Cold Crew

Last year, I did the Daffodil Day Dip on my own.

This year, I'm hoping to stand in the water surrounded by family, friends, and our community.

The reason is simple.

Cancer has touched our family in more ways than I can count.

When I was younger, my dad was diagnosed with a tumour the size of a football. Five days later, he was gone.

It was devastating, and it's something that has stayed with me ever since.

We've also watched Shane's mum face years of chemotherapy and radiation, experiencing first-hand just how physically and emotionally demanding cancer treatment can be.

It's why supporting the Cancer Council means so much to us.

It's about funding world-class research, improving treatments, supporting families through some of the hardest times in their lives, and continuing to raise awareness about the importance of early detection through screening.

My hope is that one day, fewer families have to experience what so many have. That research continues to lead to earlier diagnoses, kinder treatments and, ultimately, better outcomes.

This year, my husband and our boys are joining me for the Daffodil Day Dip, and we'd love for you to join us too.

Whether you dip your toes in, take the plunge, donate, or simply come along to cheer everyone on, every bit of support makes a difference.

Let's fill the beach with people, raise vital funds, start important conversations about screening and early detection, and show that no one has to face cancer alone.

I hope to see you there. ๐Ÿ’›

In August, weโ€™ll be plunging into cold water for the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.ย

Please donate to my challenge!

The funds we raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.

Your support means so much to me. Please help create a cancer free future by donating to my fundraiser now! ๐Ÿ’›
