This August, I will be plunging into cold water as part of the Daffodil Day Dip, in honour of my mother, who we lost to cancer after a courageous five year journey.
Like many families touched by cancer, we experienced the emotional, physical and financial toll that comes with a diagnosis. We witnessed the strength it takes to keep fighting, the hope that research provides, and ultimately the heartbreak of saying goodbye.
I am taking on this challenge to honour her memory and to help create a future where fewer families have to endure what ours did. Every dollar raised will support life saving cancer research, bringing us closer to better treatments, better outcomes, and one day, a world free from cancer.
If you are able to contribute, I would be deeply grateful for your support. Together, we can help turn loss into hope and ensure that more families have the chance to keep their loved ones for longer. 💛
