Dip #12 The final Day!!

Today I completed another 10 laps at Woonona pool for the final day of winter and the official last day of Daffodil dip season. It had been such a thrill and a wonderful way to do something I love for a great cause in honour of my Mum. I also want you to acknowledge my friends and colleagues over the years who have had to face the battle of cancer in its many forms. I hope that all of the money raised through this even will go towards well needed research and support services needed for those who have to face this challenge. Getting a little cold throughout winter is nothing compared to the challenge if facing this disease so it has Ben both an honour and a pleasure!! 🏊‍♀️💛

Sunday 24th Aug

Dip #11

This morning I completed another 10 laps at my local Woonona Ocean Pool. 🏊‍♀️ 💛

Sunday 17th Aug

Dip # 10

Completed ✔️ #10 laps at Coledale Ocean Pool. Personal goal of 10 dips before the end of winter achieved!! 🎉 I won’t be stopping now, I’m having way too much fun and  will continue in memory of my dear Mum and for the cause 💛🏊‍♀️

Wednesday 13th Aug

Dip #9

Completed 10 laps at Bulli Rock Pool. Almost reached my goal of 10 cold water swims. I will keep swimming until the end of August regardless of wether I reach my goal early or not.

Sunday 10th Aug

Dip #8 Woonona Rock Pool

I completed my 8th cold plunge today at Woonona Rock Pool. I completed 10 laps despite the rain. Getting much fitter and stronger with my swimming.

Monday 4th Aug

Dip#7

It’s officially Cold Plunge season (but my 7rh cold plunge since starting) and what better way to kick it off on what would have my Mum’s 80th birthday. I completed 10 laps at Wombarra Rock Pool, which was Mum’s favourite playground as a little girl.

Sunday 27th Jul

Dip #6

Completed another 10 laps at Woonona Rock Pool with ease. Next week I will start to increase my laps to keep up my motivation and momentum.

Sunday 20th Jul

Dip #5

Completed  10 Laps at my favourite swim spot at Coldale Ocean Pools. Not gonna lie, the wind chill really hurt getting in and out but felt wonderful swimming my 10 laps and the warm up coffee after was great too!

Saturday 5th Jul

Dip #4

I complete 10 laps of Bulli rock pool today. I am happy to have reached my personal goal of 10 laps and I’m almost halfway to 10  dips!! Let’s see if I can break 10 by 10 dips!!

Sunday 29th Jun

Dip #3

I completed my 3rd winter swim at Woonona Rock Pool today. After a week fighting off the flu I stuck to my usual 8 laps. Hope to make it to 10 laps next week when I’m feeling a little better. Hopefully the incoming wild weather passes quickly so I can hopefully complete 2 more swims next week.

Sunday 22nd Jun

Dip # 2

Today’s dip was done completing 8 laps at Coledale Rockpool. Only felt the cold when I got out of the water! 🥶

Next week I will aim to complete 10 laps.

Wednesday 18th Jun

My Goals

As in a busy Mum, I will be starting early with the aim to complete one cold dip per week or at least 10 dips from now until the end of August.

Dip 1 was at Bulli Ocean Pool this morning

Thankyou for what you are doing . Cancer council was a God send when I was first diagnosed they were able to connect me with much needed counselling and support for the first 6 months of my diagnosis. Now 2.5 years on and have stable disease I have learnt how to cope in a more healthier way and still have a lot of fight in me . Thank you and keep going !!!
