The cold gets easier, but the statistics don't. 📊 About 82% of women aged 20-29 and 85% of women aged 30-39 survive 5 years after breast cancer diagnosis.

🎉 Family history matters: women with a first-degree relative with breast cancer are twice as likely to develop it themselves.
Wednesday 6th Aug
Each shiver reminds me why I'm doing this. 🌊 Survival rates for women under 40 with breast cancer are lower than for older women - we need more research and awareness.
Tuesday 5th Aug
🏊♀️ Young women often delay seeking medical advice, thinking they're "too young" for breast cancer. Age doesn't make you immune.
Monday 4th Aug
The cold is nothing compared to what cancer patients endure daily. 💪 Women under 50 with breast cancer often juggle treatment while caring for young children and maintaining careers - they're warriors on multiple fronts.
Sunday 3rd Aug
Three dips down, 28 to go! ❄️ Breast cancer in younger women is often more aggressive and harder to detect through routine screening. Early awareness and self-checks are crucial. If Nikki hadn't advocated for her herself and ask her GP for a refferal to get ultrasound the out come may have been worse. Get a good GP and trust yourself.
Saturday 2nd Aug
Cold water shock = temporary. Cancer diagnosis = life-changing. 🎗️ Around 1,000 Australian women under 40 are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. That's 3 young women every single day.
Friday 1st Aug
Starting my daily cold dip challenge for August! 🌊 It was too wet in the morning, so a quick after work dip will do. Did you know that 1 in 4 women diagnosed with breast cancer are under 50? Every icy plunge this month is for them.
