In August, I’ll be plunging into cold water for the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.

Please donate to my challenge!

The funds I raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.

My Updates

Saturday 23rd Aug

Another Swim at West Pymble pool

The rain during the week meant that swimming at Manly was not happening so it was back to West Pymble pool for a set in my daffodil cap. The sun was out and Clare joined me and we received comments about our caps.

Sunday 17th Aug

Swim at Mona Vale

Today we swam at Mona Vale. There were 4 of us Daffodil swimmers.

Saturday 16th Aug

Snorkel with Jacqui at Shelly

Today was a snorkel with Jacqui at Shelly. Lots of PJs a cuttlefish and wobbegong.

Thursday 14th Aug

Finally an ocean swim

Fiona and I headed down to Manly and we ventured in to the cold water (only 17.9) and we saw lots of sealife, PJs, blue groper and plenty of fish.

Monday 11th Aug

Another Swim at West Pymble pool

The ocean is still not clean enough for swimming so it was another swim set at West Pymble pool. People starting to recognise the cap.

Saturday 9th Aug

Second swim at west Pymble pool

The ocean conditions once again aren’t great for a swim so I was back at west Pymble pool for another session in my cap. Clare joined with her cap. Hoping to make it to the ocean sometime soon.

Saturday 2nd Aug

2km swim set in cap

Weather not great for an ocean swim so headed to West Pymble pool and completed my 2km set in the flower cap. Not sure it improved my swimming but I didn’t lose a flower.

Sunday 27th Jul
