In August, I’ll be plunging into cold water for the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
Please donate to my challenge!
The funds I raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.
Yes, as scary as it sounds, I know for a fact that all of us would have had to deal with its terrible consequences, affecting maybe a father, a relative, a colleague at work or a neighbour. I, for one, got to experience it first hand, when my father got diagnosed with it when he was only 44. I also know for a fact, that medical research and excellent doctors (even back in the 90s) made it possible that he lived for another priceless 5 years.
Since then, research has made giant steps, but the spiky monster is still among us. So take a cold dip or help me out: the choice is yours, no time to wait, join me in supporting research against cancer!
That’s why your support means so much to me. Please help create a cancer free future by donating to my fundraiser now! 💛

Sunday 31st Aug
Daffodil Day Dip #9 - 30/8
You’d think a Saturday with sunny and 10-17 degrees forecast would make a great day for a dip in the ocean… well, I would agree with you, if it weren’t for the wind that was chilly and strong (35-40km/h).But hey, nothing stops me from ticking ✅ my 9th cold dip! 💪🏻

Friday 29th Aug

Pic with daffodil swimming cap and t-shirt, and dive and light swim in the Coogee rock pool, under a beautiful sunset sky … and airplanes flying low and north, due to strong winds!

Daffodil Dip #1After a weekend of rain and cold weather, today I managed to take my first august ocean dip in my favourite rock pool, at my favourite beach 😍Monster waves still, beach is still closed, but absolutely stunning temperature in (certainly didn’t feel like 17!) and out of the water (20 like!) ! — in Coogee, New South Wales.
