It was warmer than yesterday, but not much!  Warmer in than out again.

Freezing for Dip 19

I have posted a screen shot in my gallery of the temperature at Sandringham before I went in.  It was -0.4.  I had to get the ice off my car before heading to the beach.  I kept telling myself it will be warmer in than out.  All for this great cause.

OK they were really far out and I didn't know they were there until I got out, but it was a magical way to start a really cold morning.

Dip 1 done by myself.  My team mate is working.  My daughter is going to join me tomorrow.  It was beautiful at Sandringham this morning and might have been warmer in than out.

It is August 1st this Friday so my official dipping starts but we continued our Monday morning practise in the sun!

Practise swims on a Thursday this week

Practise swims with team juicy on a Thursday during the final week of school holidays.  It was great to be back with Jayne, even though the water temperature has dipped below 10!  Here we are warming up before the dip.

Cold Water Update

After a holiday in Queensland I am back with Jayne and Team Juicy practising our cold Water dips at Sandringham.  9 degrees in the Bay this morning!  It felt cold

The Swim CAP has arrived!

Ready for the next swim.  Yellow bathers are on the way too!  Don't think they will keep me warm but all of my sponsors will.  Love to you all!

The water temperature is dropping! Today the temperature at Sandringham beach was down to 12.6. It felt cold!!

Juice ... another cancer casualty

Our beautiful dog Juice passed away Friday night.  The vet called the next day after her blood was taken Friday morning to let me know that it looked like she had cancer.  I am doing these swims in honour of you beautiful girl and our times at the beach.

Bay Water Temperature

I have been swimming all year in the Bay.  Monday it was raining at 13 degrees in the water, 15 out and raining.  I hear it is down to 11 degrees in and August it might be colder!  I am going for at least 8 dips in August.  I will keep you all updated!
