I love a cold ocean dip all year round, but 2-3 times a week will be a huge challenge. I will be plunging into the cold water throughout August to raise funds for cancer research.
Please donate to my challenge!
The funds I raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.
Your support means so much to me. Please help create a cancer free future by donating to my fundraiser now! 💛

10th Dip with Jac.
A beautiful walk along the Frankston Foreshore with this lovely person, followed by a dip in the bay! It is always a pleasure to catch up with you Jac, talking about life, the joys and the sorrows and doing something a little crazy while we are at it. These 10 dips has been challenging, but worth every bit. Vital funds for cancer research have been raised, I have spent time in the ocean with with lots of love and support surrounding each dip and by finding some way to show my love and support to all people who have been impacted so greatly by cancer, in particular this friend, her daughter Cammie and her beautiful boy Chandler shining his light down on us while we plunged. 🌼💦💕

Dip #9
Another one shared with Barney. He helps to get me out there! I have one more to go! My 10th dip will be shared with my friend Jac. This challenge has been in Honor of her son Chandler, a gorgeous boy taken way too young. Sharing an ocean dip with Jac is particularly special. The shock to the system, the vastness of the ocean when it is wild or when it is calm, the shift in perspective it offers, the way it allows the truely important things in life to be held and nurtured. To laugh out loud at the craziness of an August dip in the freezing ocean. She gets it. I look forward to sharing the last one in my challenge with you Jac! 💕💦🥶
Monday 17th Aug
Dip #7 - Port McDonald
My face says it all. It was freezing outside, windy and cold. The water was actually warmer! A very short lived discomfort for a good cause.
Saturday 15th Aug
Dip #7: Mt Gamier - Little Blue Lake.
I can’t believe I am at my 7th dip in August already. This sink hole was perfect for it! Do I up the challenge? 🤔💦🥶 If you can donate, please do, every little bit counts!. 💕

A birthday dip with Bella!
Sunday 9th Aug
Port Fairy Dip #5
A dark and stormy pre birthday dip with friends and a sauna to warm back up in. I feel very lucky to be able to do this challenge. To be in a healthy enough body that can get me there, family and friends to share it with and in such beautiful locations. It is not lost on me how fortunate I am. Money raised going to vital cancer research is the motivation. 5 more dips to go. Please donate and wish me luck as the weather gets wild!

7th August dip # 4
This was a lucky one, rostered on for surf day at work, Friday tge 7th of August. It was the most glorious day! The students had a great time learning to surf and I got to tick off #4 ocean dip! This time with a wet suit, but it was freezing after 90minutes out there. It counts!
Wednesday 5th Aug
5th of August
My 3rd dip in August already! I had 30 minutes before I had to be behind the computer for online Disability and Inclusion training. The sun was shining and I was out there and back in time for my course! All my practice dips have made it a habit, and an addictive one at that.

I was going to wait for the next beautiful sunny day, but who knows if that will arrive? So I jumped in! The quickest dip ever!

Another beautiful winter day for a dip in the Ocean!
Saturday 18th Jul
6th July Dip. 17th July
Barn joined me yesterday morning! It looks like we could be on a summer holiday, but I assure you it was freezing! This is my 6th Ocean Dip in July in preparation for 10 in August. July maybe a little easier given we have just had the school holidays. An Ocean dip at 6:30am or 6pm may be a little harder. Fingers crossed the days are like this one on my days off!
Monday 6th Jul
Preparing for regular August dips
I have managed 4 Ocean dips in July so far in preparation for 10 in August! I will be in the full swing of term 3 by then, so this will add to the challenge, having to go super early in the morning. This dip was at an 8:30am, and it was 6 degrees outside! Brrr....
