Laughterbubbles
This December it will be ten years since mum died of mesothelioma which is asbestos related lung cancer. Mum was a multi-wind instrumentalist, learning first on the saxophone before falling in love with the bassoon. But her first instrument was her voice and I cannot think of mum without hearing her sing. She also wrote a blog that she called "Laughterbubbles" and that is how I will always remember her - laughing and singing. Lung cancer took her breath away, and it sucked the joy out of our family for long after she died. I'm just beginning to rediscover a joy of life again. I know she would have wanted me to. And if she were here I have no doubt she would don a daffodil swim cap and dip with me! Maybe she is.
