In August, I’ll be plunging into cold water for the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
Please donate to my challenge!
The funds I raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.
Your support means so much to me. Please help create a cancer free future by donating to my fundraiser now! 💛

My Updates

Final dip!
No photography allowed at the Ladies Pool in Coogee so you'll just have to believe me on Dip 10! It's been an absolute delight to embrace the cold and swim in August. Have thought about my dear friend every time I've plunged in. She loved the Pacific Ocean. I hope these funds I've raised - with the help of so many of my beloveds - will go towards groundbreaking research. Meanwhile more zings from cold swims for me!

Had my first cold surf swim at Seal Rocks. Pelicans came to the beach to watch!

Sunday 17th Aug

Sun was shining (sort of) so fitted in a few cold laps at Wylies. My spiritual home.

Friday 15th Aug
Dip 3
Icebergs after the rain. Delicious.

Wednesday 13th Aug
Dip 2
Eight laps of Wylies Baths. 15.7C - glorious swim with the fishies. I'm lucky to be alive.

Tuesday 12th Aug
Brrrrrr
It's my 63rd birthday and I am celebrating it with my first cold dip because my friend Fiona didn't get to have her 63rd. I am wearing the daffy hat because she would have found it absoloooooooootley hilaaaaaarious. I miss her so much. It was the most beautiful morning at Coogee - sunshine at last after a very long period of solid rain. One down, nine to go!
