In honour of my sister Jill Elizabeth Turner
It is 20 years since my dear sister Jill died. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the age of 45.With hope she bravely tolerated various treaments for eleven months before she died.Suffering some increased fatigue which she assumed was work related and mild epigastric pain, her GP found some abnormality in a blood test which lead to an ultrasound. The results showed advanced liver metastases. Further investigations also showed bone metastases. The primary cancer was never found.My family, her friends and I continue to miss our dear Jilly so much. She was such a loving sister who was funny, silly, intelligent and full of adventure.In August, my son Hamish has offered to support me in the Daffodil Day Dip challenge to help raise funds for vital cancer research.(No doubt Hamish who will embrace the dip/dips into our cold swimming pool will need to give me a push before diving in himself!)I would be so grateful if you could make a donation to support my challenge. It will help towards creating a cancer free future.
