In August, I’ll be plunging into cold water for the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
Please donate to my challenge!
The funds I raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.

Saturday 22nd Aug
Not the Mundi Mundi Undi run
Out in the desert. A 3 day music festival that we couldn’t attend until today - but we got there and it was fantastic. The hugely fun dress up Mundi Undi Run - I had plans to do again in swimmers and gumboots and cap but didn’t do it this year - watched the fun instead - so no substitute dip for this … so another day goes by and tomorrow will get back into some water. Yay
Friday 21st Aug
No dips for a few days … even if water water everywhere
Out in Broken Hill - not a place where there’s cold water - although crazily enough the desert is soooo very wet as there is water everywhere - but getting to it (other than going through a road dip full) isn’t possible. I didn’t get a swim in Menindee after all - but might try for that on Sunday. Else it will be when back at a river. However - maybe it will be just be a Gumbi Mundi Undi run tomorrow instead. If we get out there early enough. :D
Wednesday 19th Aug
The GH pool
Grand Hotel in Mildura = felt a bit like it was the other grand hotel in the movie … luckily the pool was open so when I didn’t get back up to the river dip spot I just had a swim in the pool … not heated - and so refreshing. Perfect.
Tuesday 18th Aug
From the Bidgie to the Murray
The best thing at the end of a day and a long drive - is a cool dip in a wide running river. Estimate warmer than 10degC but cooler than 14. So refreshing. The Murray river was perfect.

Two pools … both indoors as the outdoor one is closed in winter - as are many pools in regional NSW esp where it gets cold. No pic for the dip so just one from earlier walking this morning.
