In August, I’ll be plunging into cold water for the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
Please donate to my challenge!
The funds I raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.
Your support means so much to me. Please help create a cancer free future by donating to my fundraiser now! 💛

Dip #4: Snowmelt (Mt Buffalo)
We spent a couple of nights at Bright, one of Victoria's beautiful alpine towns. Considered a dip into the Ovens River, but decided it wasn't picturesuqe enough in winter. So we drove up towards Mt Buffalo to check out Lady Bath Falls aka Eurobin Falls. It was a perfect picturesque spot! The water, being snowmelt from Mt Buffalo, was very, very cold!

Dip #3: Snow Dip
We saw how beautiful the weather was to be, with good snow, so hurtled up to Falls Creek. Then had the bright idea to do a Dip! There are several creeks on the mountain but none really accessible, so a snow dip it was! The sun was out, there was snow around our accomodation, so a quick change into bathers and daffy cap and into the snow. My photographer was warmly dressed, lucky bugger!

Dip #2
Dip #2 completed! We visited the town of Sale to see an art exhibition and I decided we were so close to the sea, I would do Dip 2 at Golden Beach. It was the end of a beautiful winters day, the water was about 12°C, the air about 15°C, so manageable 😅. A lovely part of the 90 mile beach in Gippsland.50% of us will develop some form of cancer by the age of 85. Many friends have survived their form of cancer due to the development of improved technologies, drug treatments and other supportive practices over the decades. Your financial contributions have contributed to these improvements. Please once again consider a generous donation ❤️, thank you.
Saturday 2nd Aug
my 1st dip!
Beautiful day in Melbourne 🌟😊. Air temp 11.4°C, water temp 10.8°C, possibly the coldest water I'v ever swum in 🥶 (except for that diving adventure in Tassie!). My feet & legs were aching! But this is a small thing - please give generously!
Thursday 31st Jul
The challenge begins
As I write, it is 11.9 degrees C in Melbourne & apparently 'feels like' 9 degrees C!Tomorrow the Cancer Council Daffodil Day/Month begins - and I need your support to raise some money please! I need encouragement to jump in , or maybe creep in inch by inch, the cold water. Will you help??
