Freers Beach in the rain Dip #3
I had a rostered day off today, so I felt it was important to make the most of this time, and venture out for Dip #3. I had intended to drive to Greens Beach today, but as it was raining, I decided to head to Freers Beach in Port Sorell with my border collie Ebbs instead. It was raining, however, we were going to get wet in the water anyway, right? 😉.The conditions weren't that great, the water was shallow for a good distance, and I noticed there were rips...so today, when I took my Dip, I found a safe place to sit in the water, splash around a bit, and take a moment to honour a friend in thought, to complete the cold water dip challenge. I am hoping to venture out for another dip over the weekend, due to not being able to head out last weekend. I just want to thank those who have donated towards this cause so far, and shown support. I truly appreciate it. 🙏

Pool Dip
On Friday 8th August, I selected my parents solar heated pool for my second dip. Being that we are experiencing winter in Tassie, and that the pool hasn't had a lot of sun for heating, I can tell you now....there wasnt any heating in that water when I took my dive!! I think I may have broken a swimming record as I sprinted to the other side of the pool to get on out of there! 😅🥶❄️It was special to share the experience with my parents, and its been really special to participate in this challenge. Im planning my next dip on Saturday 16th.

Hello all,
As the sun started to set this evening, I grabbed my bathers, my towel, and my Border Collie Ebbs, and drove down to my nearest beach to commence these invigorating winter dips to show my support to some very special people who are and have been affected by cancer. I, too, have conquered cancer myself, so this swim this evening was a reminder that life truly need to be appreciated, celebrated and lived in the best way we can. My first dip has been completed. I set myself a goal of only one dip, however, my actual plan is to make a splash each weekend of August. Thankyou to everyone who has donated so far. It really means the world!
