Day 1 Fedje Island, Norway.
We went to Fedje, a 3 hour boat, walk, bus & ferry ride from Bergen, to visit Feddie distillery and try their aquavit. Thanks Kevin for the tour & tasting. My first sauna and then jump into the 13 degree ocean, assisted by a lovely local lady and her daughter.
Day 2 Nordnes Park, Bergen, Norway.
We did the 1300 step climb up Mount Ulriken then visited this heated swimming pool with saunas. It was a great community place with various height diving boards to jump into the 13 degree fjord.
Day 3 Oslo Badstuforening, Oslo, Norway.
Sauna and ocean dip in the centre of Oslo looking out at the Opera House. Water 18 degrees, felt balmy after the first two dips.

A Toe Dip! We used to row here and ice skate in winter. No swimming allowed and you wouldn’t want to! My parents circuit similar to Galup.

The drought in England continues so there’s no water in the pond for dipping…….and no fish!

A cold shower before the direct London to Perth flight.

12 degrees in my pool. Winter here. Colder than Norway summer water!

Day 21 Galup, West Leederville WA
This is the lake at the end of my street. The local circuit 3.5km around the lake. It is full of the most amazing birds but unfortunately has blue green algae at the moment so one tie dip only.
Day 22 Balingup Brook WA
A dip in the Balingup Brook before working in the Tipplers Yard at Balingup Medieval Festival. A fabulous festival where everyone dresses up, reenacts fights and ends with the burning of the dragon.
Day 23 Balingup Medieval Carnivale WA
They said it wouldn’t rain this year but it did, so I dipped in the rain. Last year it was torrential and the stalls got washed away on the second day! Lots of mud. Great day out!
Day 24 City Beach WA
Thought it was time to have a proper big swim in the ocean. Got there just before dark. The water was warmer than the air temp! Lovely ocean dip.

Day two of the show and it’s been raining since 2am. The farmers are happy cos it will improve their yield and the farm workers are happy cos they can’t work in the rain! Mud everywhere.
Day 28 Perth WA
Busy day after Dowerin and bumping in for the Gin Festival. I was wondering where to do my icy dip when Tess spotted the ice truck for the event! It was cold in there.
Day 29 West Leederville WA
Our family bathroom. The bath was cast on 25 April 1913 exactly 1 year before Anzac Day. In 2013 we had it re-enamelled in Sydney, which is the only place they still do it, as it was very rusty!
