Those who know me will know how much I love daffodils and strongly dislike cold water! Each year I like to contribute to the Cancer Council, normally by hosting a morning tea and purchasing as many daffodils as I can. This year I thought the cold water plunge would be appropriate for two reasons…one I get a very funky swim cap and two, swimming laps has (begrudgingly) become part of my exercise routine during my recovery. This time last year I would never have thought that I would be the recipient of all the amazing work that the Cancer Council is known for.
The funds I raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.

Ocean Swim
Our four nights camping at Etty bay inspired me to kicked off my swim challenge early. The over night temperatures dropped to a chilly 8 degrees and the murky waters of FNQ coupled with my fear of crocodiles adds to the challenge. I braved the water twice, swimming out around the stinger net buoys and back, about 300mts.
