In florals and Tutu Iβll be plunging into cold water for more than just the joy of it!

No doubt you've loved someone through cancer, lost someone to it or survived it yourself.Β This is why I'm dipping. To celebrate Mum, my sister, Tatiane and others in my circle who survived it, for Karen and Lisa who battled hard and for Lucas who is undergoing treatment now.Β
The funds I raise from my Daffodil Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.

My Updates

Sunday 31st Aug
Frocked Up on East Coast
A new βpre lovedβ piece of sunshine for 31 Aug. The pool was heated so not really a cold plunge but just a bit of fun with my BBB crew. My Daff cap never grows old.Β Lenny and Walter kept us company in the spa afterwards. These beautiful boys of 4 & 6 have gone through so much trauma. It was good to bring a smile to them.Β

Friday 22nd Aug
Sunshine in the Dark
The final Dip for this Daffodil only occurred last night (the Official Daffodil Dip Day) because THE OFFICIAL T-shirt arrive! so, I just had to do one more. It was dark, drizzling and cold but the sunshine came regardless.Β The Dipping has been more of a joy than a difficulty for me. It has given me more than I anticipated and at a difficult time in my journey, it was welcomed.Β

Tuesday 19th Aug
Treasure from The Storm
A heavy few days of difficult emotions did not hinder the Sunday Dip for this Daffodil. The beach was quiet, the dogs ran madly and the calm, rolling sea was smooth and inviting.Β The wild weather of the previous days had upended the ocean and many treasures were calling to this beachcomber. A teeny yellow shell was my find.Β There is much to be found after the storm has passed.Β

Tuesday 12th Aug
βDuo Dippersβ -with my pal
Special thanks to my dear friend Julie who donned a tutu too and dipped with me today at sunny Mettams Pool, Perth. Two is always better than one ππΌ

Sunday 10th Aug
Fully Kitted Out and crowned with seaweed
I promised to specifiaclly name a dip for some of you for your donations or just to make you smile, so hereβs todayβs allocationβ¦For Caz Shurmer, Natasha Booth, Sarah Spooner βs TJ, and Lucas Nathanael with seaweed!Bowie also dipped to thank everyone for their financial support for Cancer Councilβs Daffoldil Day campaign πΌΒ Iβm still dipping until Β the actual DIP DAY of 21 August so theres still time for your supportΒ https://www.daffodilday.com.au/fundraisers/lisagleeson

Saturday 9th Aug
Murky Pool Plunge
Our murky winter pool was brightened by daffodils πΌ A poignant encouragement to show up in someoneβs cancer journey, even when we donβt know what to say or do.Β

Sunday 20th Jul
Southern WA Coastal Dips
A spontaneous trip down south with my friend (and cancer survivor) called for 3 dips over our 3 days. It was great to see them all rugged up against the wind as I tackled the swell (surprisingly pleasant temp). I was asked βHow do you make yourself go in when itβs so cold?βΒ I explained itβs really just βmind over matterβ and so much easier than what every cancer patient has to battle every day of and post treatment.Β What is a little cold water going to do to me long term? Nothing! So I will embrace the discomfort and help Cancer Council to continue to find solutions for lifeβs bigger challenges.Β Let me know if I can Daffodil Dip on your behalf! Β Small donations are most encouraged. Thank you x

Thursday 26th Jun
Dipping Begins
Winter waves with the dogs and the husband were choppy but we never regret a salt water dipβ¦especially when itβs a Daffodil Dip.Β
