Daffodil Day - reached my goal of 10 dips by Daffodil Day! 🙌 Went with Penny and her lovely sister Jenny 💕 to Roches Beach. The water was relatively warm -12degrees, and air temp 17! Almost like early summer.  

Roches Beach: glorious sunny and calm day. Water 11/12 degrees, air temp maybe 16/17?. Lovely swim.

Roches Beach with my swim buddy again, as the sun was going down… We were in the last narrow patch of sunlight on the beach and it was beautiful, but we stayed in too long and were really cold heading home. Must remember to keep an eye on the time when the environment is lovely - too easy to forget and stay in the water past a sensible time..  

Bellerive Beach, late afternoon with the sun sliding down. Beautiful light, the sun was warm, families playing on the beach. An easy and quick dip. 

Roches Beach - raining & 10 degrees air temp, raining and 10 degrees water temp. Easiest entry yet, but pretty cold after. 🥶

Roches Beach again with my regular swim buddy.  I really love this spot - so quiet and peaceful. Water 10 degrees, but a bit of sun around and a pleasant swell to bob about in. A bit weedy though. Saw another ocean dipper. Another great dip! 🌼❄️🏊‍♀️💛🎗️

Park Beach - beautiful sunny day & pretty calm so it was shorts weather for many on the beach. Dan and Mia with me - we had a walk and they sat on the beach and watched me do my thing. Small waves but a few surfers on the point anyway. We saw a fur seal surfing the waves, and also hundreds of little bait fish (after I got out 🤔)…. Easier than the last couple swims, defintely felt warmer though water is supposed to be 10 degrees. Another very ocean enjoyable dip! 😎🏊‍♀️🌊❄️

10 degrees C, but very calm and beautiful sunny day.

Another dip at Roches with my swim buddy. 10 degrees today, so relatively warm (!), but it felt cold - I never really warmed up. Lasted 10 minutes before I really needed to get out. A bit of a breeze and cloud cover that may have contributed… But it still felt great. I have 7-8 more swims to get in before August 20!  Got my silly daffodil cap yesterday - will wear it for my final swim. Thanks to my lovely donors for their support! 😘

Second swim for this challenge, first one for August. Roches Beach again, with Penny again. Another glorious day for it, calm, sunny and water temp 10 degrees. Tried some calm breathing when getting in and it worked a treat. It was really lovely and I felt great  🥰❄️. 

30/7/26: Got in the water today at Roches Beach today with my friend Penny, who is a year round ocean goer 🏊‍♀️💪.  The water  was 9 degrees ❄️, so quite a bit of yelling from me when I first got in, and it was a short swim. But i survived, and hope to do more…. Hoping to get in on August 20 with a bit more dignity!!!
