Monday 31st Aug
Completed final 'cold plunge' today
Today I completed my final cold plunge-having worked today and not being near a sea or river, it was a cold shower! Not easy, but I have now reached my dips goal, and also done two practice dips, so altogether, four dips in the sea, and one cold shower.
Monday 17th Aug
Second proper dip on 14th August in the morning at East Beach, Port Fairy
My second "official" dip for the Daffodil Day cold plunge challenge was at East Beach in Port Fairy around 9.30 a.m. and it was a beautiful morning with the sun putting on a show, and the waves were not too rough so I was able to stay in for a while and have a good swim. I think air temp was around 12 degrees at that time and water colder but not as chilly as the previous day at South Beach! I shared the water with a lovely woman who was teaching herself to surf.
Monday 17th Aug
First proper dip on 13th August, South Beach, Port Fairy
My first "official" Daffodil Day dip, on 13th August at South Beach Port Fairy around 4p.m. was refreshing and the sea was very choppy! It was probably around 11 degrees air temp and the water was colder, but I got all the way in and managed to stay in for a while! Even got knocked over by big waves a couple of times.
Saturday 25th Jul
Second practice dip on Tuesday 7th July at Port Fairy
Had my second cold plunge practice dip at Port Fairy on the 7th July. Air temp around 14 C, water a lot chillier, but at least the sun was out!
Monday 6th Jul
First practice dip today!
My first practice dip, at Warrnambool breakwater beach, at sunset after driving down to see family, around 11 C or less air temp, lovely and fresh in the water!
