No not zero degrees. But almost.
Pre dinner dipping on deserted melb beach. With brave granddaughter Miss G. We both laughed so much - that kept us warm ! Will try and fit in another dip tomorrow 🌼🌼🤞

Icy dip number 5 @ 5 pm on hampton beach Melbourne
Thank goodness I have brave strong granddaughters .. who humour me with lifesaving duties - Miss G left her warm house and came swimming with me just before dinner … we played mind games that the water REALLY wasn’t freezing & did extra dives ! Well Done granddaughter number 3. ❤️❤️😘 love you. Xx

At Parkdale riugging up - post icy dipping. Pessential warming up post / ‘delicious coffee is the best ❤️ don’t risk getting too cold ladies.

The daffodil cap is chugging along at Brighton Beach.
Sun out - water freezing. Dip number 3. No grandkids today but husband Ronnie Storey of 54 years was photographer and fellow dipper. 💛💛🌼🌼🌼 Thinking of Joan Storey Glen.

Pretending it’s going to be warm / Green Point Brighton Beach.
Well - it was absolutely freezing. But my photographer today ( Ronnie ) also donned my daffodil cap and had a very quick swim … we both had a coffee post in the warm car 🚙 and remembered Joan , who died of ovarian cancer. Well done to all - especially those dipping in Melbourne- think we need thermals this year 😁

Dip number 2 Sandringham beach vic.
Dipping in icy conditions with 2 more fabulous granddaughters , Maddie & Fleur … was super cold but pleased that we did this today - in memory of Joan Storey Glen & to aid cancer research. Will keep dipping , & bring along other ‘lucky ‘ grandkids…. My superfish. 🌼🌼🌼💪

1st dip Sunday 16 th AUGUST - my mums bday. Anniversary
Water was Freezing at Hampton Beach but sun was shinning 🌤️ through - I was accompanied by Livvy - our 5th out of 10 gorgeous grandchildren .. . Doing this in memory of Joan Storey Glen. ❤️

1/2 way through first walk … getting fit before dipping.
Day 1 post - surgery And the Irish weather is v glorious in melbourne. 1/2 way to a bowl of porridge. Goldilocks.

Training post cardiac surgery for my daffodil dipping.
Day 1 of getting fit again - post hospitalisation and dressings coming down. Getting closer to icy dips. One step at a time - but back in a cosy bed after a freezing walk and a big bowl of porridge post. Overwhelmed by such generosity out there - thank you all SO MUCH. Joan was a country girl from wycheproof / Birchip and def would NOT be donning her bathers for a winter dip 😊but she’d laugh & be touched by your kindness. 💗

Ah ! Found my page !!! Slight change / & increase commitment.
Hello fabulous supporters …. Many thanks for supporting me. I definitely WILL be doing this icy plunge - but have just returned home post cardiac surgery with unexpected complications, so won’t be ‘dipping ‘ until 15 August. My aim 🙏is to then complete between 5-10 modified dips / plunges and will post evidence each time , up till the end of August. … this is pending medical advice. Thank you in anticipation, for your generous support. MAIRSY x x
