West Beach Dip
Sunday 16th Aug
3rd Dip at West Beach
Went down to West Beach today with hubby and Olivia and her friends, Maddie & Yasmine. The cold water did not disapoint! I got in and out pretty quick after doing a full dip with my head under water. We were rather spoilt with a sunny day because the beach was just spectacular. We stayed there for a couple of hours with the kids playing in piles of seaweed nearby. The water was a bit murky brown and very cold but the sky was amazing and it made the water glow in the distance. I was feeling grateful and relieved that I reached my target fundraiser goal during the dip. Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser!! ☀️☀️
Sunday 9th Aug
2nd dip in my brother-in-law’s swimming pool
Took my 2nd cold dip on this rainy winter day in Adelaide. Got through it with a smile and it felt surprisingly invigorating! I did a full head dunk to go through the full experience and then lost my daffodil swim cap in the pool 😆😆Hubby filmed while my kids cheered on. Olivia was ready with a dry towel when I was ready to hop out.
Saturday 1st Aug
1st dip with an ice bucket
It’s August 1, so first day of daffodil month ! Took my first of three dips today with my nine year old dumping an ice bucket on my head while my partner sprayed me with the hose. Something a bit fun and out of the ordinary for a sunny winter day at home.
