Hi Everyone,

Swim #10 of 10 happened today at Location A, approaching angry high tide. The water conditions dictated that both hands had to be free from electronic gadgets, and head screwed on for focus. 

The video was safely taken from the viewing platform.

Swim #10 of 10, my last official fundraising swim for Daffodil Day, is dedicated to my family, friends, coworkers, and patients who have fought and breathed their last.

Thank you for your support, the fundraising link stays open until close to midnight (Sydney time). It has been a humbling experience.

Hi Everyone,

Moved to beautiful Location B for another 1km swim, making this Dip #3 of 10. Again, I have been graced by good weather during the swim even though I could see large clouds in the horizon. 

I had the pool to myself to do laps and to drift on my back, thinking of loved ones past and present...and those close to me battling the Big C. And remembering those who have drifted on to a place without pain.

Cancer Council and I welcome and appreciate your ongoing (and new!) support.  🙏🏽💓

Despite the local wet weather, I was gifted again with some clear skies and interestingly shaped clouds above the favourite rock pool.

A nice day for a pleasant solo swim.

Hi Everyone,

After watching the (wet) weather radar and checking out weather apps with tide data, I took a chance and drove down to the favourite rock pool.

Fortunately for me, the grey skies parted to reveal some blue. The rain briefly ceased during the first dip/swim, was even granted a fleeting rainbow. 

Dedicated to those who are battling the Big C, and for those who have lost their battles but  continue to live in our hearts. Thank you for your support.  🙏🏽💗☔🏊🏽‍♀️

Wow, it's only June and you have helped beat my target goal of $500! And we haven't even officially started counting cold dips (from Aug 1 to 31)! Thanks very much, it is humbling to know that you care. 🫶🏽

I have been "training" in cold sea conditions, not "arctic" as one of my friends hope, but cold enough for me to wear thermal swim gear.

Once I work out how to post pics&vids of the winter swims, I will do so. Watch this space! 🏊🏽‍♀️🥶👀

Hi Folks. Most of us are or have been affected by the Big C, either as warriors or supporters of warriors who are battling the Big C and its many repercussions. 

Please support me as I plunge into cold seas this Australian winter, officially counting at least 10 times in August 2025, to fundraise a minimum of $500AU for cancer research.
