Monday 3rd Aug
The real Dip 1
Dip 1 of 20 completed on the 1st of August. This dip was especially symbolic, in May 2025 my dad came to visit me in Australia and brought my mum’s ashes. I spread her ashes at the port Noarlunga beach while performing a ceremonial breathwork and somatic movement ritual. Today I moved through the sand and finished in the water to complete my first dip of the challenge. By the end of the challenge, I will be back on Lizzy’s beach in my home country of Ireland. Her ashes also lie there, and completing this ritual over there will bring us full circle. I’m left with an incredibly profound feeling of connectedness when I enter the water. The water here in Adelaide connects across the globe to the water in Ireland. Everything is connected, we are all one, limitless and boundless.

Turns out the 20 dips Ive done so far didn't count. The dips dont start until August 1st, so I guess this was just a practice round
