DIP #5 OF 5!
I almost had the beach to myself, apart from a couple of lovely locals and a whaleboat team practicing their thing. The breeze was fresh, the water fresher! ❄️ In I went and stayed in for a while, thinking about what the Daffodil Dip means to me and the many, many good people who are in need of everything the Cancer Council provides. I’m so grateful to everyone who has donated to my fundraiser and offered words of support and encouragement 🙏I really appreciate you all 💛I have 2 days left to fundraise - while you’ve all helped me beat my target goal, I’d love to see if we can raise just $223 more to get to the lovely round figure of $1500 🙏🙏 Please share my link/talk to your family and friends and see if we can help provide a little bit extra to those who need it. I’ll do a Bonus Dip, just to up the stakes 💛😊❄️🌊

FOREHEAD FREEZE WAS REAL! 🥶
DIP #4 of 5 was chilly this morning and the forehead freeze was real! 🥶 However, I was committed and got it done 💛

TODAY’S DAFFODIL DAY FOLKS!
Today is THE day! It’s DAFFODIL DAY today and I’ve picked myself a beautiful bunch from my garden as a reminder of why I’m doing these icy dunks this month 💛 Let’s see if we can kick this fundraising up a notch and get our combined efforts up to $1500 🙏🙏
Sunday 16th Aug
COLD PLUNGE POOL SORT OF DAY 🥶
Dip #3 saw me swapping the ocean of the South West for the 12-15 degree iciness of the cold plunge pool at the Deep Blue Hot Springs. It’s cold. I’ve seen people dip a toe in and run away screaming. It’s winter-ocean cold. It still took my breath away. And I did it 🥶💛

Dip #2 Sun was out, water was a bit icier….
Second Dip done folks! The sun may have been out yesterday morning, but the water was icy - MUCH chillier than last week! Found myself some flowery bathers that suited the occasion 😜💛
Saturday 1st Aug
FIRST DAY OF AUGUST, FIRST DIP DONE ✅
It was a chilly 4 degrees when I left home, a slightly warmer 6 degrees when I reached the beach and donned my beautiful gold Daffodil Dip cap. ❄️With the support of some local boogie boarders, I braved the chilly ocean and bobbed around for about 10 minutes - apparently my gold swim cap was sparkling in the winter sunshine 🙌💛
Tuesday 21st Jul
Practice Dip
Woke up and it was 0 degrees ❄️ Did I have to talk myself into a dip today? HELL YES. By the time I got up and made myself go, it was maybe 10 degrees, I told my brain to shush and got in…it was lovely in!!! HELL YEAH!! 💪🌊❄️🙌
