Dip #15 Middleton Beach

Last dip for August. Weather kind to me again. No seaweed, clear water, pretty gentle waves and a support crew.Thanks to Dellys and Allan for doing the videos.

Dip #13 of 15 Friday 28th August 2026.

The weather was pretty ordinary with cloud ☁️ cover,  cold water 💦, wild waves 🌊 and a cold 🥶 wind that felt like it was straight off the Antarctic.

Thanks to hubby, Allan, for the moral support and Dellys, friend, who braved the cold, windy beach to do the videoing for me from which the still photo was taken.

Dip #12 Middleton Beach.

Weather kind once again, sunny, fine and very little wind.The water was cold but not mind numbingly cold 🥶 also very little seaweed.

Dip #8 of 10 Middleton Beach 

A nice calm sea once again. Not overly cold 🥶 and the water wasn’t as cold either. Very pleasant dip.

Dip #10 of 15 Middle Beach

Weather absolutely wonderful. Warm, sunny 🌞, no wind, calm sea.The water was very chilly but once in it was lovely. What more could you want but my dipping buddy, Kerstin.

We bobbed around in the water 💦  for about ten minutes.

Dip #9 of 15 Middleton Beach Albany.

The weather wasn’t very kind. Cold 🥶 and wet 🌧 but at least it wasn’t howling a gale 💨 as well. Still cold though.

It was a very quick dip.

Dip #7 of 15 at Middleton Beach Albany.Sunday 16th August 2026.

The weather today is very nice, a very pleasant south coast winter’s  day. The water was very pleasant and not all that cold, actually warmer than some summer days. It was very weedy so had to wade through quite a lot of weed.

The water was so inviting that I actually went back in for another dip so am making that #8 of 15.

We, hubby, Dellys (very able videographer) & I then sat on one of the seats on the foreshore and watched the world go by.

#6 of 15 at Middleton Beach.Friday 14th August 2026

Bit of a break since my last dip. Not sure where the week went but back to dip again today and once again at Middleton Beach. Lovely sunny day here today, bit of a  hilly breeze. A nice rolling swell again to day and not as ‘aggressive’ as last Sunday.The water was chilly but very pleasant once I was past the breakers and could bob up and down over the swell.

Fellow dipper, Kerstin did some short videos for me. She is fighting off a cold so didn’t stay in as long.

#5 of 15. Sunday 9th August 2026.

A quite large swell was fairly rolling in at Middleton Beach.Hubby was my videographer and did a great job, leaning into the wind 💨 without his walking stick taking the video with my ten year old Iphone 🤪😳

I got caught a bit off balance by one of the waves and knocked on my butt 😬🤣🤣. Managed to get myself back on my feet without being dumped again and, once past the breakers, had fun bobbing up & down over the swell.

#4 of 15 Friday 7th August 2026.

The weather and water was pretty chilly 🥶 No idea how cold as I prefer not to know.

My dipping buddy, Kerstin, was unwell so didn’t dip with me but came along as  support person, along with my hubby of 49 years, Allan and my friend of 30 years, Dellys who was my videographer.

On his way for a swim/dip, a random bloke asked were we doing a photo shoot, I said no, he  admired my cap so I explained what it was all about. He asked if he could have a photo taken with the cap on. I said yes. Didn’t think to ask him for a donation but then he probably wouldn’t have had room in his budgie smugglers for any money!!

#3 of 15 Dips.This was at the new walkway & stairs over the granite rocks into Princess Royal Harbour where regular swimmers have been, for years, entering the water by climbing over the rocks.The water was freezing 🥶 My husband video’d my dip and I’m afraid I let a swear word slip out 😳😬😮 not a really bad one but a swear word.
