Honouring Robert’s Legacy This Daffodil Day

I’m fundraising for Daffodil Day, to support advancements in life-saving cancer research.  

In early July, we at St Jude's Health Care lost a treasured colleague, mentor, and friend — Robert.

Robert was an integral part of the St Jude’s family since 2008, dedicating nearly 18 years of his life to our organisation, including 13 years as a compassionate and tireless Hostel Supervisor. His contribution to our community is immeasurable. Robert cared deeply for the people we support, always going the extra mile to ensure they felt safe, respected, and truly valued.

To many of us, Robert was more than a colleague — he was a source of wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support. His sudden passing has left a profound void in our hearts.

This Daffodil Day, we are honouring Robert’s memory by raising funds for the Cancer Council, a cause that touches so many lives. Fundraising events will be held across all St Jude’s sites, bringing our community together in remembrance, hope, and action.

Every dollar raised will go directly to the Cancer Council to help fund life-saving cancer research, support services, and prevention programs.
