In August, I’ll be plunging into cold water for the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
Please donate to my challenge!
The funds I raise from my Daffodil Day Dip challenge will help power world-class cancer research to save lives.

My Updates

Wednesday 20th Aug
Day 3 - swim + coffee + sunshine
Another swim down at main beach - followed by pastry, coffee & bacon & egg roll overlooking the river whilst chatting and drying off in the sun - before we left Noosa for Brisbane and the flight back to Sydney. We will be back Auntie Carrie!!

Wednesday 20th Aug
Day2 - another swim - a glorious morning - a gathering
Still not cold - but just beautiful swim with my friend Angela as we followed along behind my brother who set out fast and added extra to his swim whilst we were dawdling and talking and taking photos (and swimming!).
Later - the gathering for Uncle Sel - a farewell with friends and family, local and not so local.
This swim was for you Uncle Sel. Will always be ‘mate’

Friday 1st Aug
Day 1 - dip (swim) and not so cold
A short trip north means I am in Noosa for this day - for a family gathering on the weekend to farewell my Uncle Sel - so the dip was both poignant and beautiful.
Really a swim - as the water was warmer than I normally swim in back south - I think likely around 18degC (didn’t bring the trusty dusty thermometer) - but the day was cloudy. Ocean was flat as a pancake, the water was clear - so easy swim for a little over a km. With my brother (who set a good pace!).
Here’s to you Uncle Sel - so glad we were here back in April and many times before that.

Jen, I hope your godson does ok. It sounds awful.
