As a community Selandra Rise Retirement Village we regularly hold morning teas where we raise money for charities. I personally loved the idea of Daffodil Day ,the colour yellow being bright and happy. With it being winter the event will bring a brightness to peoples day. That I put the idea to my Manager to hold a morning tea to raise funds for the cancer council. Gold coin to attend , selling yellow donuts and cupcakes and the plan is to also hold some raffles to raise extra funds . After the morning tea our Water Baby Residents will be taking part in walkathon in the community pool where they will see how many laps they can walk in 15minutes . they have donation cards that they are getting filled
