Grief is like spilling a jar of glitter, you can vacuum up most of it, but it’s never fully gone. You’ll keep finding tiny specks in the most unexpected places.

In taking part in this year’s Daffodil Day Dip, I found strength in raising money for a cause that has not only impacted me and my family, but touches almost everyone in some way. I know that if Ash could have participated, she would’ve been all in and for me, I find so much comfort in that. 

@aimeejeannan , I am in absolute awe of you. The friend you were to Ash, and the way you carry her with you in all that you do. I lost Ash, but in my grief, I found you. Thank you for being such a strong, beautiful support. For doing this with me as “The Dip Queens,” and for keeping our Ash alive in your heart 💛

To everyone who donated, messaged, or simply sent love — thank you. Your kindness means the world to our family. Together Aimee & I have raised an amazing $4567 which is just incredible! 

My family, thank you to Mum and Dad for supporting me every step of the way through not only this fundraising, but also helping me manage my grief while fully submerged in your own - you two are powerhouses, and you know I think the world of you both. To Aunty Nat and Grandma — I know this has been especially hard for you both. Yet you still show up, and your strength leaves me in awe. Such amazing strong women. Having you there today meant everything to Aimee and me 💛

Ash, I look for you in all the small, beautiful things. I know you were with us today, how else could it have been such a perfect, sunny day? I miss you Cous. My glitter. ✨

I can’t wait to take this final dip with my amazing sister, niece, and nephew. Until then, thank you all for your love, your support, and for helping keep Ash’s legacy shining. 💛

DIP #2 is tonight (I am not ready 🥶) 

I just wanted to thank everyone for their support this far, and for anyone who has donated. All the kind messages have meant the world to me. 

This is for you Asha Lynn, I love being able to feel close to you and although I’d much prefer you here I’m glad I get to do this in your honour. I miss you more than anything 🫶🏼

Now, I’ve got a proposal, if we get to $800 before 5:30pm this weeks dip will have a special guest. Jamie Tullett how do you feel about a chilly sunset dip? Lol.

It’s $50 in an hour, I reckon we’ve got this in lock. Better put the heater on old boy…. You’re going to be cold 🥶🥶🥶
