Cancer is all too brutally familiar to me. In 2010 after a fearless, years-long duel with breast cancer, my darling Agnes lost her battle. I still hear her laugh in quiet moments—and I still feel the sting of knowing that nearly one in two Australians will face a diagnosis like hers in their lifetime. I’m raising funds because I believe we can flip that statistic, turning fear into hope through research that discovers kinder treatments, earlier detection, and, ultimately, cures for the many cancers that steal our loved ones far too soon. Every dollar you give honours Agnes’s memory and fuels the scientists who are already turning today’s breakthroughs into tomorrow’s lifesavers.
I’ve helped equip 12 researchers with essential lab equipment needed to conduct life-saving research.
