THIS IS FOR YOU, DINAH!
Help me honour of my sister Dinah Edwards. The doctors never did sort out why she was actually dying, she just went into hospital absolutely exhausted after moving house, and a huge team of specialists couldn’t work it out. But 5 years earlier she’d punched through a particularly nasty form of leukaemia with a complete almost identical match DNA transfer from other sister, Sally, in a very early days study that actually WORKED! She was too old to be considered for the research study but the nasties hit her - and were discovered - really early, when she was super fit and healthy, from walking her beloved pooch, and swimming, between … you guessed it … Semaphore and the next jetty south. I was living overseas during all of this. No help at all. But perhaps you and I can freeze enough - and raise enough $ - to nudge another piece of cancer research over into everyday reach of a whole lot more people. When I think of what Dinah missed, and her children, friends and family missed, from just these past ten years without her …
