I’m fundraising for Daffodil Day, to support advancements in life-saving cancer research.  

It’s either ironic, a coincidence or a sign from the powers at be (maybe all three?) that my first day of chemotherapy is on Daffodil Day. In late July, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and in that time, I’ve witnessed and experienced the power of science, research and our world-class health system. I’ve been poked, prodded, had my eggs frozen and my hair preemptively cut into a bob. I’ve had food, flower, teddy and DVD box set deliveries. I’ve had brownies, cookies, veggie bakes, blankets, artwork and bunting made for me. I’ve been wrapped in love, support and well wishes from family and friends. Please check your boobs and get regular health check-ups. If you’re able, please donate to the Cancer Council for vital cancer research. 💛🌼
