Why we are fundraising for Daffodil Day

My cousin, Chantelle and I have joined forces in memory of our loved ones. My best mate Steve Blasdale was diagnosed with stomach & liver cancer & given only 3 weeks to live, with chemo not going to work. In the true Ironman spirit that Steve was he fought on with chemo & our families got to share memorable moments with Steve for just over 12 months, for that we were all very grateful. I also do this in memory of 2 other great mates, Dane Alderson & Bazza O'Neil. Steve, Dane, Bazza & I all served in the Royal Australian Navy together so a lot of great memories. My cousin Chantelle is with me again this year and in memory of a very dear friend, Allyson, that was like a second Mum to her. So we join together & taking our fundraising event to our little wheatbelt home town of Kellerberrin, "Bringing Daffodil Day Out Bush 2026" to fundraise not only in memory of our loved ones but for those fighting their own battles. You can help us in our fundraising efforts by donating and providing hope for a cancer free future, not only for those impacted by cancer, but for all Australians. The funds we raise will help power world-class cancer research to save lives. Your support means so much to us! Hi everyone, its been a few weeks since we updated our fundraising page blog.

On Saturday 22nd August, I headed back to my small home town of Kellerberrin in the wheatbelt and joined my cousin, Chantelle for our Daffodil Day event which had the local community come out and support us during the day followed by an event at the Kellerberrin Hotel raising more funds and going live for the raffle draw.
So congratulations to the following winners:

We raised for Bringing Daffodil Day Out Bush 2026 a total of $3,075 which includes donations on our fundraising page.

So thats it for another year, our second Bringing Daffodil Day Out Bush event and Chantelle and I are very proud and apreciatitive of everyone who joined our journey in everyway and helped us raise vital funds for cancer research here in WA for Cancer Council WA.
Hoping that one day we can find a cure and stop our families and friends having to hear those horrible 3 words.... " You Have Cancer"

Chantelle and I look forward to teaming up once again in 2027 Bringing Daffodil Day Out Bush and hoping you can join us on our journey in 2027.

Its Daffodil Day Month

Hi everyone,
Hope this finds you all well.
Well August is here and that means Cancer Council WA's Daffodil Day month.

I kick off with my best mates wife, Trish up at Joondalup Bunnings on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August.
Then on the official Daffodil Day, Thursday 20th August, I will be in Perth CBD.
On Saturday 22nd August I join my cousin, Chantelle as we set up in our home town of Kellerberrin for our 2nd year with our event, "Bringing Daffodil Day Out Bush 2026"
