Why I'm fundraising for Daffodil Day
I’m raising funds to support the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Cancer touches so many families, friends and communities, and I know firsthand how deeply it can change life in an instant.
This cause is especially close to my heart, as I am currently going through my third battle with cancer. In January this year, I received the difficult news that my cancer had returned, and I have been receiving chemotherapy treatment since then.
It has been a challenging journey, but it has also reminded me how important hope, kindness and progress in research truly are. Every dollar raised helps fund vital cancer research, supports better treatment options, and gives hope to people like me — and to everyone affected by cancer.
