This year I will be cold plunging in August to raise funds for the Cancer Council to help all those affected by Cancer.
Last year I was diagnosed with Cancer at the age of 31. I was a young mum with my 6 month old baby girl, and 2.5 year old son when all the testing started. It was very daunting going through the motions and the unknown of what was to come and how I would respond to treatment, while still trying to navigate being a new Mum of two. Thankfully I am now in a position to dedicate my time to a great fundraising cause such as this one to help raise funds for more research.
While going through treatment the Cancer Council provided so much support through counselling services, food vouchers, therapies and more. We were and still are so grateful for the support we received.
As most of you know this cause is one close to my heart, and one that has greatly impacted my life and my family & friends, not just with my own recent diagnosis with Cancer, but with so many loved ones own experiences’.
Unfortunately Cancer comes in all shapes and sizes, it creeps in, and affects so many people. This is for those who have just been diagnosed, are going through treatment, are in remission, or sadly lost their battle to Cancer - in particular my close friend Emma, who lost her brother & bestfriend Ben at age 23 who still had so much more love and life to show to the world, and my friends Carly & Royce who lost their Dad Terry before he had the chance to meet his beautiful Grandchildren.
Your support means so much to me. Please help create a cancer free future by donating to my fundraiser now! 💛
