Why I'm fundraising for Daffodil Day

This year I’m taking part in the Daffodil Day Dip on 20 August. As many people know, this cause is incredibly close to my heart. Just over a year ago, my beautiful mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 renal cancer. In an instant, our family’s world was turned upside down. We continue to face the ups and downs together and make everyday count! My mum is my best friend, my biggest inspiration, and the strongest person I know. Watching someone you love go through cancer is heartbreaking, and if there’s anything I can do to help make a difference for families facing this disease, I will. This August, I’ll be taking the plunge into the freezing cold Canberra winter water for the Daffodil Day Dip to help raise funds for the Cancer Council and support life-saving cancer research. My goal is to raise $1,000, and every single donation no matter the size will make a difference. I’ll be sharing a video of my icy dip on my Facebook page in August, so keep an eye out! If you’re able to support my fundraiser, I’d be so grateful and if you can’t donate, sharing this post would mean just as much.
